Shooters & Bowlers | Buffalo Pearl
Hemingway and Butcher met whilst playing in Georg Gräwe's GrubenKlang Orchester on a 1993 Canadian tour. On that trip they also played in quartet in Vancouver, but it was another seven years before a taste for smaller groups led to them forming a duo.
Most recently they have met for festival appearances in France, Portugal, Finland, Switzerland and Austria.
"Oriented more towards abstract, even subliminal gestures than to Grand Events, these two create music that burns with inner fire."
Jason Bivins - One Final Note
Rcorded in concert, Buffalo, USA.

"All in all, it's a bracing set, a vivid entry from two superb improvisers and the kind of thing that restores your faith in free improvisation."
Jason Bivins - Dusted.
